7 August: White-tailed Kite at Short Beach in Stratford, CT. A state record for CT, and a life bird for me. WTKIs are rarely seen in the Northeast. The bird was found by Dennis Varza on August 1st and was last seen on October 9th. More info on the kite can be found at http://ctaudubon.blogspot.com/ . This photo is heavily cropped.
